SUBMITTING YOUR DOCUMENTS FOR EDITING

Accepted Submission Formats

Short documents (under 1,000 words) may be submitted in the body of an email message. Documents of any size may be may be submitted as an email attachment in any of the following formats:

• Microsoft Word
• Microsoft Works
• Adobe PageMaker
• HTML
• Text File (.txt)
• Rich Text Format (.rtf)

Note: I prefer email transmissions as they save both time and money. If you wish to mail your document on a CD or Zip disk, email me for additional instructions.

Editing Project Procedure

When you're ready to start working together on an editing project, send me your document (sandi@writefriend.com) as an email attachment in one of the formats listed above or in the body of the message (if less than 1,000 words). Let me know:

• How soon you need the editing project completed.
• The type of editing you're requesting (proofreading or comprehensive editing).
• Your preferred form of payment (credit card, PayPal, cashiers check/money order, or personal check).

I'll review your project and determine the total estimated cost. If I feel that you need a more or less intensive form of editing than you have requested, I'll let you know before we go any further.

Once we are in agreement as to the terms of the editing project, I'll send a detailed confirmation and give you instructions for processing your preferred form of payment.

Sample Edit

If you're a new client, you qualify for a sample comprehensive edit at the flat fee of $25.00 (1000 words maximum). The process is simple:

1. Select a writing sample of 1000 or fewer words that fairly represents your writing style and abilities.
2. Submit your sample in the body of an email message addressed to the Write Friend or as an attachment in one of the formats listed above.
3. Make sure the subject of the email message is Sample Edit.
4. I'll email you a PayPal Request for Payment for the discounted fee (you do not have to have a PayPal account to use this payment method).
5. Once I receive notification that payment has been processed, I'll complete your sample edit and email it to you within 5 business days.
